Apple ipad to fill gap between Smartphone and Laptop

Announced with typical Apple flair by Steve Jobs - the Apple ipad is as expected a large ipod touch/iphone with a 9.7 inch screen.

Designed for users who want a larger Smartphone but not the bulk of a laptop the ipad is set to go head to head with other tablet devices, many of which run the Google Android OS, however the ipad runs the same apps etc as the itouch/iphone there are over 75 million people who already know how to use this.
