The BlackBerry Bold 9700 smartphone offers top-of-the-line performance, functionality and features with support for 3G HSDPA networks around the world, a next-generation (624 MHz) processor, 256 MB Flash memory, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi®, a 3.2MP camera and a sharp, dazzling display. Vodafone Indoor signal Boost


Vodafone have released the Vodafone Access Gateway - the first in the long awaited Femtocell technology - an indoor signal boost for 3G backed up to your existing broadband connection.

The Vodafone Access Gateway service gives you a great 3G signal throughout your home, no matter where you live. All you need is a broadband line and the Gateway (above) - a clever little box that's simple to install.

You can even connect family and friends to the Gateway, as long as they're with Vodafone. And up to four people can use it at once. So everyone gets the same great signal.

  • Compatible with all 3G handsets
  • Requires a 1Mbps minimum broadband connection
  • Max of 30 users can be registered (4 simultaneous connections)

Vodafone Launches new style USB Modem


The latest version of Vodafone's USB modem range now includes a USB stick style (rather than the USB dongle or cable connected modems).

Operating using data download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps (14 times faster than standard 3G) where available this 3g/HSDPA device also offers HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) speeds of up to 1.4 Mb/ps.

The new USB Stick modem will be available from the 10th of January.

The USB Dongle style modem below (with connecting cable) has also been re-styled and is available now.


Vodafone have also upgraded the network in the busiest areas to 3.6Mbps to deliver a more robust service, enabling existing customers to enjoy faster data speeds in mobile broadband 7.2 areas (see previous posted 7.2 information here).

O2 UK Launch HSDPA USB Modem




The Sierra Wireless Aircard 875U will be capable of HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) speeds on the O2 network (at least 5 times faster than present 3G) once upgrades have been completed to the network this summer. In the meantime GPRS and 3G speeds are possible using this simple plug-in device allowing you to access data using your laptop almost anywhere. Compatible with Windows XP and Vista, also compatible with Mac OsX.
