i-mate have released details of four new handsets due for release in Q4 2007.
The Ultimate 6150 is a modern PDA form factor with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, while the Ultimate 8150 features both a VGA touchscreen and dial keypad with T9 for simple and convenient text entry. The Ultimate 8502 has a 2.6-inch touchscreen and full QWERTY keypad, and the Ultimate 9502 offers a 2.8-inch sliding VGA touchscreen with a full QWERTY keypad.
Both the i-mate 8502 and 9502 have QWERTY keyboards, integrated GPS, TV/Audio output slots and are powered by the Windows Mobile 6 Professional platform. The smartphones work with the 400 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200 processor, 256 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM and a microSD card slot. They offer Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and provide support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band HSDPA/HSUPA.
Standard features include Microsoft push email and Office Mobile applications such as Word and Excel.
The differing form factors below offer a choice between a more traditional phone/pda with up front qwerty keyboard and a large screen (2.8") PDA with slide away keyboard.
